In 1974 Henri Willig started making his now world-famous cheese in Katwoude. From the very beginning, Henri Willig has been progressive in the development of new products. In the early 80's he was the first cheesemaker to bring him the Gouda-style cheese made from goat's milk. A recipe for success! The goat's cheese won many prizes. Since then, his artisanal cheese dairy has grown into a premium cheese supplier with customers spread over more than 35 countries.
The high degree of flexibility to meet the specific demands of its customers has contributed to the strong expansion of the company in recent years. With an eye for high quality and the same degree of passion, we supply smaller batches of cheese for specialty stores and larger batches of cheese for high-end supermarkets and wholesalers. We like to connect with our partners to work together so that everyone benefits optimally.
Henri Willig also produces its own consciously organic brand Hooidammer. Hooidammer has always been a pioneer in the field of organic cheese that contributes to optimal biodiversity. Full of life and full of taste!
The Henri Willig Group, the producer of fine cheese, offers consumers pure and distinctive quality products and is a professional, sustainable partner for its clients, employees, and suppliers, embodying respect for people, animals, and nature.
Our socially responsible program, under the name Milk & More, focuses on people, animals, and nature. Our company wants to leave the world a better place than it found. We do this by, for example, dealing sustainably with the earth, reusing residual products, using water wisely, taking care of the climate, and making pure products. You can find more information in our annual sustainability report.
As a company, Henri Willig is committed to inspiring the world. We express this in our own stores, experiences, and increasingly with our customers who subscribe to our core values. We like to invest in a sustainable collaboration with our global partners. In this way we help each other, after all, cheese is made to share.
We achieve this with passion, authenticity, hospitality, innovation, and sustainability throughout the chain.
