Welcome to Grand Café Henri Willig Giethoorn, the restaurant in Giethoorn where cheese takes centre stage. In the heart of idyllic Giethoorn, you’ll enjoy pure flavours, artisanal dishes and true Dutch hospitality.
Whether you come for breakfast, lunch or dinner by the water, to enjoy drinks with friends or simply relax in a cosy café, you will taste the quality of Henri Willig cheese in every dish.
You can make a reservation by phone (+31 521 785 396), but you are also very welcome to visit without a reservation.

Be surprised by our menu, where Henri Willig cheese is creatively incorporated. From creamy soups and fresh salads to artisanal sandwiches, sharing boards and sweet treats – everything is prepared with care and passion.
We work as much as possible with organic and local ingredients.
Did you enjoy it? Visit our Henri Willig shop next to the restaurant and take a piece of Giethoorn home – from classic Gouda to unique herb cheeses.

Our waterfront restaurant in Giethoorn is the perfect place to enjoy a relaxed lunch or drinks. Inside you’ll find a warm and cosy atmosphere, while outside you can take a seat on our spacious terrace overlooking the water.
There is plenty of space for families and groups. Feel free to reserve for a group lunch or drinks by the water.

Opening hours Grand Café Henri Willig
From 28 February 2026, we serve breakfast, lunch and dinner and are open daily from 8:30 AM to 9:00 PM – with the kitchen closing at 8:00 PM.
You can reserve by phone, but you are also very welcome without a reservation.
