Craving a savoury snack dish that’s always a hit? With this recipe for chili cheese sticks, you’ll discover how easy it is to make your own delicious cheese sticks. Crispy puff pastry, creamy chili cheese and a spicy twist create the perfect balance between soft and bold flavours. Served with a fresh yoghurt dip and a rich, spicy pine nut butter, this dish turns any snack moment into something special. Ideal for a cosy evening, a party or simply as a luxurious snack to enjoy together.
Preheat the oven to 200 degrees and line a baking tray with parchment paper.
Mix the mustard, crème fraîche and curry powder into a smooth mixture. Grate the Henri Willig Chili cow’s cheese and set aside.
Roll out the puff pastry onto the baking tray. Spread the mixture over it and sprinkle the grated Henri Willig Chili cow’s cheese on top. Place the second sheet of puff pastry over it.
Cut the dough into long strips of about 3 cm wide and twist each strip into a stick. Sprinkle the top with extra Henri Willig Chili cow’s cheese.
Bake the cheese sticks in the oven for 18 to 25 minutes until golden brown and crispy.
Peel the cucumber, cut it in half and remove the seeds. Dice into small cubes. Mix with ricotta, Greek yoghurt, zest of half a lemon and 1 tablespoon of juice, white balsamic vinegar, garlic powder, salt and pepper. Spread onto a plate and mix in half of the finely chopped chives.
Toast the pine nuts in a pan until lightly golden. Remove from the heat and add the butter, 1 tablespoon olive oil, sriracha, a pinch of salt and paprika powder.
Pour the warm spicy pine nut butter over the ricotta mixture. Garnish with the remaining chives and serve with the warm chili cheese sticks.
