Henri Willig White Port

This White Port, specially selected by Henri Willig, comes from Quinta Santa Eufémia, a family house producing port with passion in Portugal’s Douro Valley since 1864. This fresh, elegant white port is made from traditional local white grape varieties: malvasia fina (30%), rabigato (20%), viosinho (20%), moscatel galego branco (20%) and codega (10%). One bottle of Henri Willig White Port contains 375 ml of port.

How do you enjoy white port at its best?

Henri Willig White Port is perfect as an aperitif, served lightly chilled, with ice and a slice of lemon if you like it extra fresh. It also pairs beautifully with young cheeses and salty snacks, letting its bright, fruity style shine.

Comment
As I'm already a fan of the Henri Willig red Tawney port, I was definitely interested in this new White port. And I wasn't disappointed: a slightly lighter bodied port, with a clear white wine flavour and a certain creaminess to it. Aftertaste more towards raisins, with a hint of almond. A nice summery port. Will work with younger cheeses, like the HW Jersey milk cheese & Truffle cheese.
