Henri Willig White Port

This White Port, specially selected by Henri Willig, comes from Quinta Santa Eufémia, a family estate that has been passionately producing port wine in Portugal’s Douro Valley since 1864. This fresh and elegant white port is made from traditional white grape varieties of the region: malvasia fina (30%), rabigato (20%), viosinho (20%), moscatel galego branco (20%) and codega (10%).

A bottle of Henri Willig White Port contains 375ml of port.

Serving tips
Henri Willig White Port is delicious as an aperitif, served with a slice of lemon and ice. It also pairs beautifully with young cheeses and salty snacks.

Comment
As I'm already a fan of the Henri Willig red Tawney port, I was definitely interested in this new White port. And I wasn't disappointed: a slightly lighter bodied port, with a clear white wine flavour and a certain creaminess to it. Aftertaste more towards raisins, with a hint of almond. A nice summery port. Will work with younger cheeses, like the HW Jersey milk cheese & Truffle cheese.
