The Nieuwendijk connects the Amsterdam Dam to the Haarlemmerstraat and runs almost parallel to the Damrak and the Nieuwezijds Voorburgwal towards Amsterdam Central Station. However, the final stretch of street veers off to the left and ends up at the Martelaarsgracht. The section between the Martelaarsgracht and the Haarlemmerstraat is vernacularly called the Korte Nieuwendijk.
This street, which links to the Kalverstraat, is situated in a pedestrian area and is one of Amsterdam's oldest and most central shopping streets.

Opening hours

This shop is temporarily closed from 29 August due to refurbishment. We expect to reopen on 20 September. In the meantime, visit our nearest location: the Amsterdam Cheese House, Haringpakkersteeg 18.
