Cow Dance - 5 April 2025

Fortunately, spring is here again. The mercury is rising and the daylight is staying longer again. Our cows are therefore eager to go outside again. At Henri Willig, we celebrate this with our annual cow dance. This year, it will take place on Saturday 5 April at 11:00 am.

In order to provide enough lemonade, coffee and tea, we would appreciate it if you would register.

* If the weather is bad this week and the cows cannot go out on 5 April, we will let you know by e-mail.

General information

Location: Jacobs Hoeve cheese farm, Hoogedijk 8, Katwoude
We will gather between 10:30 - 10:55 a.m. in our Jersey barn
We start with a cup of coffee, tea or lemonade
The Jersey cows go outside at 11:00 a.m.
A fun free self-guided tour is available in the Jersey barn
The farm and barn are open daily from 9:00 - 18:00
Entrance and parking are free

More about the cow dance

Our Jersey cows are kept in our organic potting shed during the winter months. Not because it is too cold, but because no grass grows then. When spring shows up, and everything starts growing and blooming again, it is time for our cows to go outside. We hope for many enthusiastic visitors to celebrate this with us.

Plenty to experience

During this open day, there is more to experience than just the cow dance where the cows make their first jumps in the meadow. You can also discover more about our organic farming. The farm shop will also be open and here you can taste all our cheeses.

Calves

Since spring is known for new life and growth, we are also happy to announce that our calves have now been born. They love attention and find people very interesting. They will stay inside for a while on this day. So come and visit them on their birthdays, you are most welcome!
