Tips for a romantic cheese board
Making a beautiful cheese board is less difficult than you probably think. With the right products and tools you can easily cut the cheeses, vegetables and fruits in the right size. Below we give you a few tips, so you can put such a romantic cheese board on the table at home yourself as Manon from CourgettiConfetti did!
Different ways to cut cheese
To make your cheese board look nice, you can present your favorite Gouda cheeses in different ways. On our cheese board especially for Valentine's Day, we playfully sliced our red pesto cheese into thin slices with a cheese slicer. In addition, you can easily slice your cheese into wedges or cubes with a cheese knife. Moreover, by cutting your cheeses into bite-sized pieces, you can easily dip them in a cheese dip for an extra taste sensation. For Valentine's Day, we cut a slice from a baby cheese and cut out a heart, for a special touch for the day of love.
Vegetables, fruits and nuts on the cheese board
You complete your cheese board by adding some fruits and vegetables. Grapes always do well on the cheese board, but also consider strawberries, sweet raspberries and fresh pomegranate seeds. In addition, cucumber and tomatoes are a nice addition to the cheese board. Use a cheese grater to slice the cucumber into small round or long slices, which you can spread on the cheese board. By briefly putting the tomatoes in the oven with a dash of olive oil and fresh herbs, you create a delicious seasoning. With some fresh nuts and chips you fill the empty spaces on the cheese board ét voila: your cheese board is ready!
