Minimum 32 and maximum 36 contract hours per week

Cheese factory Henri Willig is a fast-growing, independent cheese producer that has been successful in the exclusive cheese segment since 1974. Cheese factory Henri Willig has a strong position in the national and international market for organic cheese, goat's cheese and other Dutch cheese specialities. The total organisation comprises two cheese dairies and several own shops. Our organisation consists of over 500 employees. At Kaasmakerij Henri Willig, much has been invested in recent years in expanding and improving the factory in Heerenveen. Examples include the implementation of a packaging line, a robotised cheese treatment line and a completely renovated, enlarged and automated cheese warehouse.

What does it do to you when someone calls you in connection with a breakdown in one of the machines? Does this frighten you or does it give you energy because you can show what you are worth? At that moment, together with the operator, you can make sure our processes are up and running again. During your day shift, you identify possible areas for improvement and carry out preventive maintenance to avoid failures in the future. The installations you work on are very diverse, on the one hand mainly liquid processes such as milk and whey processing, and on the other hand handling and packaging.

Experience in these areas is certainly desirable but we also offer you the chance to improve where necessary. This can be done both by following training and gaining practical experience together with your immediate colleagues. You will work independently but of course also as part of the team with four other mechanics. Together, we can meet any challenges that arise. We immediately consider you a full colleague and give you the opportunity to get to know our plant and systems. After an induction period, you will work on-call shifts, which are divided equally among the TD team. On average, you will have one weekend in every five weeks. In addition, you will have one fixed day on weekday on-call duty, whereby we will take your wishes and private circumstances into account as much as possible. On average, you will be called up twice a month.

In this position, you have the option of working 32 or 36 hours.

What will you do?

  • You consult daily with the other mechanics, your supervisor and the production departments
  • Locating, analysing and rectifying faults
  • Carrying out preventive maintenance and inspections
  • Actively thinking along in improvements

Do you recognise yourself in this?

  • MBO4 working and thinking level
  • Independent, proactive and stress-resistant
  • Good communication skills, both oral and written
  • You consider safe working important but keep it practical

What do we offer?

  • a position classified in scale 7 of the Dairy CLA (€3,162 - €3,887 gross monthly salary based on 36 hours including the minimum 8% CLA increase that will be implemented after agreement with the unions)
  • 8% holiday allowance, 4% end-of-year bonus, consignment allowance and good fringe benefits (pension, travel allowance, etc.)
  • prospect of a permanent appointment with good performance
  • an annual Sustainable Employability budget and the possibility to develop yourself with our Henri Willig Academy
  • a dynamic working environment with short lines of communication
  • a very challenging and varied job in which you learn every day
  • the opportunity to develop further, both technically and organisationally
  • pleasant company parties and company outings

Have we piqued your interest?

In addition to your CV, we would like to receive a short motivation as to why you would like to join the Cheese Family.
